Oregon State football may have just landed their quaterback of the future in Ben Gulbranson. Ben visited Corvallis this past weekend and committed to the university Sunday night via Twitter.
Gulbranson is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound pro-style passer from Newbury Park, California. He held offers from Arizona State, Kansas State, Cal and others; but was ready to pull the trigger on a verbal commitment to Oregon State on Sunday night.
Ben Gulbranson seemed to be impressed by Jonathan Smith’s and Brian Lindgren’s knowledge of the QB position and how they lead an offensive unit. Oregon State’s struggles on the defense-side of the ball have been well-documented, but there is no denying that Coach Smith has shown the potential to coach a very good offensive team.
