Your Oregon State Beavers are really good at baseball, and they proved it again today by pummeling Ivy league champion Yale 11-0. The win puts Oregon State one win away from advancing to the super regional next weekend.
Luke Heimlich got the start, and pitched just as everyone in orange and black expected, going 7 innings while giving up no runs and just 2 hits while striking out 8. Luke did see some trouble in the 4th as a leadoff walk and a ground rule double gave Yale runners on second and third with no outs, but a ground out to third, a strikeout and a flyout to center kept Yale off the board.
