SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oregon State men's rowing Varsity 8 placed second in the Men's Open 8+ race Sunday morning in Seattle, Wash.
"People can use the weather as an excuse for bad performance or as an opportunity to gain seconds," said head coach . "I think the guys seized the opportunity today and raced well. It was cold. It was windy. It's was raining. They had to shorten the course because of it. And it wouldn't be a Head of the Lake without a barge going through the Montlake Cut. All of those things can rattle an athlete.
