RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Oregon State wrestling team ended the regular season on a high note as they won the first ever meeting between OSU and Cal Baptist on Friday night inside of Van Dyne Gym.
The Beavers (5-8, 2-2 Pac-12) defeated the Lancers (2-5) by a final score of 33-7.
Kegan Calkins started the evening off for the Beavers wrestling at 141 pounds for the first time this season. Calkins trailed 2-1 after the first period, and after an escape from CBU in the second period he trailed 5-2. The senior used two takedowns plus a two-point near fall securing the comeback win by decision in the final period, 8-6.
