CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State cross country team, fresh off a ninth-place finish at the recent Pacific-12 Conference championships, will run at the NCAA West Regional on Friday.
The 6,000-meter race begins at 11 a.m. at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento. Sacramento State is the host team.
The top two teams in the 36-team field earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships, set for Nov. 19 at Terra Haute, Ind. The top two teams at eight other regionals from around the country will also qualify automatically; the remainder of the 31-team championship field will be selected on an at-large basis.
