BANDON, Ore. -- The Oregon State men’s golf team is in 11th place after Sunday’s opening round of competition at the Bandon Dunes Championship.
The Beavers shot a 24-over 308 at the par-71, 6,682-yard Bandon Trails Course and has 36 holes to move up the leaderboard at the three-day, 54-hole tournament.
Missouri and Clemson share the lead in the 12-team field after posting a 6-over 290 in the opening round. Only three players finished in red figures, all with a 2-under 69, and they are Hayden Buckley of Missouri, Joe Harvie of Seattle University and Bryson Nimmer of Clemson.
