LOWELL, Ore. – The Oregon State men's rowing team got its season started Saturday morning with a three-team regatta on the Beavers’ home course at Dexter Reservoir. The Beavers earned first place finishes in two out of three races finishing ahead of Stanford and Gonzaga.
“I’m proud of the guys,” head coach Gabe Winkler said. “The total day was amazing racing. I didn’t think it would be that tight across the board. So it was fun to have these teams up here and have that quality of racing.”
Oregon State’s Junior Varsity 8 won the closest race of the day separated from the Cardinal crew by just over one second.
