SEATTLE, Wash. – The 19th-ranked Oregon State gymnastics team beat No. 11 Washington Saturday night, 196.100-195.900. The Beavers registered their highest score of the season for the third straight week improving their record to 4-1 on the season.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Yanish led the Beavers scoring 39.250 in the all-around to set a personal-best. Yanish set season-highs on all four events.
The Beavers hit 23 out of 24 routines and secured their top beam score of the year, with a 49.275, eclipsing the 49-point mark for the first time in 2019.
"Before the meet I spoke with the team about fighting to the very end and that's exactly what they did tonight," head coach Tanya Chaplin said.
