CORVALLIS, Ore. – With three individual wins over ranked grapplers, Oregon State Wrestling notched a 21-12 victory in its home-opening dual inside Gill Coliseum.
In front of a crowd of 887, the Beavers won seven of ten bouts to earn the victory over a challenging Northern Colorado team with five ranked opponents.
"Both teams have a lot of freshman so we just had to get out some wins," head coach Jim Zalesky said. "There were a lot of tough matches that could have went either way so we just found a way to win them.
