SAN DIEGO – The No. RV/RV Oregon State University softball program split a pair of games on day one of the San Diego Classic at the USD Softball Complex and SDSU Softball Stadium on Friday.
The Beavers won a 1-0 extra-innings decision over Colorado State (8-2), before falling to No. 21/20 Minnesota (11-4) in the afternoon 4-1.
Oregon State holds an 11-7 overall record in 2018.

Junior Meehra Nelson got the nod to begin the San Diego Classic, where she threw a complete game shutout against the Rams of Colorado State.
