After an amazing run the Elite 8, Oregon State University is rewarding Head Coach Wayne Tinkle with a three year contract extension. While financial details have not been revealed, the new contract should keep Tinkle in Corvallis through at least the 2026-27 season. Tinkle had another two years on his current contract, and a third was added after the team made the NCAA Tournament.
Tinkle started with Oregon State since 2014. He got the Beavers to the NCAA Tournament in his second year, where they lost in the first round against Virginia Commonwealth. That was his only trip to the big dance until this season, with the Beavers going on a magical run through the Pac-12 tournament and March Madness in there best season since the 80s.
