Beavers Set to Race at the Windermere Cup

CORVALLIS. Ore. – The No. 19 Oregon State men’s rowing team heads north to Seattle for the 30th annual Windermere Cup on Saturday on Montlake Cut. OSU will race three boats including a Junior Varsity 8, the Third Varsity 8, and the Freshman 8.

“This is a really cool event,” head coach Gabe Winkler said. “It is a big party. This is the last race before the Pac-12 Championships. The JV and the 3V are racing Stanford and Washington and coming off of a rest week, they should be good to go.”

COURSE & VIEWING: The 2,000-meter course is located on the Montlake Cut, with the best viewing along-side the Cut or by boats anchored to a log boom in Lake Washington.
