FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 8 Oregon State gymnastics team finished third in its semifinal, and sixth overall, at the NCAA Championships Friday night coming within .1375 points of earning a spot in Team Finals. With two teams advancing to finals, the Beavers were tied for second, with Denver, after three events before coming up just short in the last rotation.
OSU's sixth place finish is the highest finish under head coach Tanya Chaplin, who had previously directed the Beavers to eighth place finishes in 2010 and 2011.
