CORVALLIS, Ore. - A career day for redshirt senior quarterback Jake Luton propelled the Beavers to a commanding victory over Cal Poly, 45-7, Saturday afternoon inside Reser Stadium. Luton threw four touchdown passes on the day and racked up a 255-yard performance on 17-of-22 passing. Oregon State totaled 549 yards of offense and saw four different Beavers reach the end zone to earn the dominating victory.
Oregon State set the tone early in the first half by using fast and efficient drives to get on the board first. The Beavers stormed down the field for 74 yards in which Luton found a familiar target in junior reciever Isaiah Hodgins for a quick eight-yard strike to go up 7-0.
