CORVALLIS, Ore. – Adley Rutschman hit his 15th home run of the season and Zack Zalesky drove in two in a ninth-inning rally but Oregon State dropped a 6-3 decision to Gonzaga Tuesday night at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
Zalesky hit a two-run double in the ninth, and the Beavers (31-11-1 overall) later loaded the bases but Gonzaga's Daniel Naughton got pinch hitter Greg Fuchs swinging at strike three to end the game.
Rutschman hit his 26th career home run in the fourth to put the Beavers on the board after a three-run top half of the inning by the Bulldogs.
