GOLD RIVER, Calif. --- Highlighted by the Beavers' collegiate four placing third and fifth in its event, the Oregon State women's rowing squad opened its fall season of racing on Saturday at the Head of the American on the waters of Lake Natoma.
Saturday's racing took place on a three-mile course with a time trial start format. Oregon State competed four entries into the collegiate 2- division, two in the collegiate eight (21-boat field), and two in the collegiate 4+ to round out the day.
The Beavers' began the day with the women's collegiate 2- race with sophomore Sierra Bishop and freshman Georgia Foster taking 12th place and navigating the waters with a time of 20:45.
