HENDERSON, N.V. - The No. 18 Oregon State women's rowing team had a great first day of racing in Vegas in its first out of conference competition this spring at the Pac-12 Invite.
All Beaver boats finished second to No. 3 California and in front of No. 19 Alabama and UCLA.
The 2V4 had a strong start, separating from Alabama & UCLA in the 2nd 500 of the race and finishing 8.78 behind Cal.
The Varsity 4 had open water over UCLA at 1000m and finished 2nd to Cal by 7.08.
In the 2V8 race the Beavs had a tough start and were down in the 4th place position off the line.
