CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team is set to open the 2018-19 season on Wednesday night inside Gill Coliseum for the annual Orange & Black scrimmage.
Starting at 7 p.m., the event will feature 17 bouts pitting the Oregon State "Black" squad against the Oregon State "Orange" team. 13 newcomers will make their OSU debut Wednesday evening.
The Beavers return nine student athletes that started in a dual last season and helped OSU to a second place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, including two individual Pac-12 Champions and three NCAA competitors.
125-pounder Ronnie Bresser makes his return to the mat following a successful 2017-18 campaign that culminated with a NCAA All-American designation after a seventh place finish at the NCAA Championships in Cleveland.
