CIVITANOVA MARCHE, Italy – The Oregon State women’s basketball team opened its string of four games on this summer’s Italy trip, topping Civitanova Marche Basket 93-49 Friday evening in Civitanova Marche, a town located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.
“I was happy with the performance,” said head coach Scott Rueck. “It’s nice to win on the scoreboard, but more importantly I thought we executed well, especially since this was our first opportunity to play together as a team. I thought we defended well, did a great job of creating some open looks and settled into a nice rhythm.
