OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Oregon State women’s rowing team took a season-opening trip to the Head of the Oklahoma regatta Saturday and came away with a pair of victories.
The Beavers sent just one crew, the Varsity 8, to Oklahoma City, for the program’s first-ever time competing at the Head of the Oklahoma, and it pulled off wins in both of its races.
“The crew raced well,” head coach Emily Ford said. “They did a good job handling a new environment and sticking with their plan. Thanks to everyone here in Oklahoma for the great hospitality.
