UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Conner Kumpula recorded his best career finish to lead the Oregon State men’s golf team at the Redhawk Invitational on Tuesday.
Kumpula, a junior from Albany, Ore., finished in a tie for fourth place after concluding the two-day, 54-hole event with a 13-over 77-76-72--225 at the challenging Chambers Bay Golf Club. The course played to a par 71 in the first two rounds and a par 70 on the final day.
It’s his third top-10 showing of the season, after finishing sixth at the Husky Invitational in September and tied for 10th at the Amer Ari Invitational in February.
