PEORIA, Ariz. – It was a great start to the spring season for the Oregon State women's golf team.
The Beavers finished in fourth place at the 16-team Westbrook Spring Invitational after shooting an 8-under 286-287-283--856 at the par-72, 6,432-yard Westbrook Village Golf Club Vistas Course.
Nebraska won the team title with an 11-under 853, Oklahoma was second with a 10-under 854 and Illinois finished third with a 9-under 855.
Oregon State's 8-under 856 is the third-lowest three-round score in program history. The Beavers never finished a three-round tournament under par in their first 41 years and have now done it four times the last two seasons.
