Beavers fall to Colorado in Pac-12 opener

Boulder, Colo. – Oregon State fell 47-6 to Colorado at Folsom Field on Saturday in its Pacific-12 Conference opener.

Junior Garrett Owens had field goals of 32 and 40 yards for the Beavers. Owens has two or more field goals in two of OSU's four games this season seven times in his career. He is 6-for-8 (.750) this season and 28-for-36 (.778) lifetime.

Freshman tailback Artavis Pierce led the ground game by rushing for a career-high 61 yards in eight carries, with a long run of 18 yards. Pierce has gained 107 yards on 15 carries in his last two games, an average of 7.
