LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Oregon State wrestling team battled tough against No. 12 Wyoming but fell short against the Cowboys on Sunday inside the Uniwyo Sports Complex.
The Beavers (2-4, 1-0 Pac-12) dropped a decision to the Cowboys (10-3, 1-1 Big 12) by a final score of 22-16 in the 32nd all-time meeting between the two schools.
The afternoon started at 157 pounds with No. 17 Hunter Willits getting the ball rolling for the Beavers. After a stalemate for the majority of the first period Hunter found a late takedown into a two-point near fall for a 4-0 lead after one.
