Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State will take a major step up in competition on Sunday when it faces three ranked opponents in the Northeast Duals event at Troy, N.Y.
The 20th-ranked Beavers face No. 10 Nebraska at 8:15 a.m. (PST); No. 25 Northern Iowa at 10:15 a.m. and No. 19 West Virginia at 12:15 p.m. All told, 11 of the 16 entrants are ranked in this week’s USA Today/National Wrestling Coaches Association Top 25 poll.
“This competition will give us a better idea of where we are at,” than the Nov. 8 Mike Clock Open at Pacific University, where the Beavers won all 10 weight classes by dominating Division III or junior-college opponents, coach Jim Zalesky said.
