EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 11/12 Oregon State women's basketball team extended its winning streak over Oregon to 12 games, as the Beavers earned hard-fought a 43-40 victory Friday evening at Matt Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore. The game was part of the Civil War series presented by PacificSource Health Plans, Spirit Mountain Casino, Safeway/Albertsons and Your Local Toyota Dealers.
"This was a big defensive battle," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "This game had a ton of intensity to it, and it definitely had a rivalry feel. I'm really proud of our team for defending the way they did, and then for executing the plays that we needed to finish it out.
