Beavers Drop Mid-Week Match to Gonzaga

SPOKANE, Wash. – Sophomore Jordan Jones scored his fourth goal of the season, but the No. 10/13 Oregon State men’s soccer team could not overcome an early deficit as it fell to Gonzaga 2-1 Tuesday afternoon in Spokane, Wash.

With his tally on Tuesday, Jones now has 12 career goals and is tied with fellow sophomore Timmy Mueller for the most on the team this season.

The Beavers (5-2-0) found themselves behind early on, when Gonzaga scored on a shot from distance less than four minutes into the match. Mueller looked like he might level the score just minutes later, but his header was saved by the Gonzaga (4-3-1) goalkeeper.
