STANFORD, Calif. – A second half surge by the Oregon State women’s soccer team was not enough to overcome an early deficit, as the Beavers fell to No. 6 Stanford 3-0 Thursday evening at Cagan Stadium in Stanford, Calif.
Senior Gwen Bieck led the Beavers with two shots in the contest. McKenzie Redberg, Nikki Faris, Natalie Higgins, and Jenna-Lee Baxter also tallied shots in the match.
Sophomore goalkeeper Bella Geist made 10 saves in the contest, bringing her career total to 181, as she continues her ascent up the Beavers’ (5-4-3, 1-3-0 Pac-12) all-time saves list.
The Cardinal (10-2-0, 4-0-0) jumped in front early on, finding the net on a headed goal in the second minute.
