Box Score PULLMAN, Wash. – Oregon State's fourth quarter surge fell just short in Pullman Saturday night, as WSU's Max Borghi rushed for a two-yard touchdown with two seconds remaining to give his team the lead on the scoreboard, 54-53.
Jermar Jefferson accounted for four scores on the night and led the Beavers on the ground with 132 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns. Jefferson also picked up 52 yards through the air with two touchdowns including a 39-yard reception late in the contest. The sophomore scored on three consecutive drives during a three-minute span in the fourth quarter but the Cougars would counter with a pair of touchdown drives to spoil the night.
