STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 16/21 Oregon State men’s soccer team was unable to overcome a strong No. 3/3 Stanford side Sunday afternoon, as the Cardinal took a 3-0 win in Stanford, Calif.
The defeat is the Beavers’ (7-4-1, 2-1-1 Pac-12) first in Pac-12 play this season, and marks the just the second time in 2015 that Oregon State has been held without a goal.
The Beavers played their second consecutive match without the services of senior midfielder Phillip Van Berkom, who was unavailable due to injury.
Don Tchilao was able to find some space down the right wing early in the match.
