CORVALLIS – Everett Hayes converted a field goal as the clock expired to lift the Beavers to a 27-24 victory over Washington in a Saturday evening thriller at Reser Stadium.
The victory is the fourth in a row for the Beavers, who now sit atop the Pac-12 standings with a 2-0 mark in conference play. Oregon State trailed by seven in the fourth quarter, but a B.J. Baylor touchdown followed by a vital defensive stop set up the game-winning drive.
Baylor rushed for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns, bringing his season total to nine scores.
