The Beavers finished up their season series against the Washington schools with a bruising road win over the Washington State Cougars. While the Beavers didn’t match the offensive highs of their win over Washington, their defense effectively shut WSU out of the game. For the second straight game, the Beavers held a team to fewer than 10 points a quarter, winning 52-35. The Beavers, rated 9th in the nation, are now 17-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference.
Neither team could find much of an offensive rhythm at first, with missed layups and turnovers on both sides. The Beavers found their shots first, going on a 14-3 run in the back half of the quarter to take a 16-7 lead.
