SALT LAKE CITY – Adley Rutschman and Tyler Malone combined to drive in five runs in Oregon State's six-run seventh inning Friday night to help send the Beavers to a 9-5 win over Utah at Smith's Ballpark.
With the win, the Beavers evened the series with the Utes at one game apiece. The teams will play a rubber match Saturday at 12 p.m. PT – OSU is looking to win its 15th consecutive Pac-12 Conference series.
Trailing 5-2 entering the seventh, the Beavers (21-3 overall, 6-2 Pac-12) put a pair of runners on for Rutschman, who singled between the first and second basemen to make it a one-run game.
