Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State led for nearly 82 minutes before Oregon rallied for a 2-1 victory at Lorenz Field on Friday in the women’s soccer edition of the 2015-16 Civil War Series, presented by PacificSource Health Plans, McDonalds, Spirit Mountain Casino and Your Local Ford Stores.
It was the final game of the season for the Beavers (6-10-3, 2-9-0 Pac-12). It was also the last game at OSU for goalie Melanie Trumbull, defender Gwen Bieck and midfielder Amanda Tewes, departing seniors who were honored in a pregame ceremony.
Playing for the first time this season and for just the third time in her career, Trumbull had six saves, several of the outstanding variety.
