CORVALLIS, Ore. – Chayse Gomez and Ellie Slama both fired a 5-under 67 to lead a final-round charge by the Oregon State women's golf team at the Silverado Showdown on Wednesday.
The Beavers shot a 6-under 282, the best score by five strokes in the final round, and vaulted seven spots up the leaderboard to finish in sixth place with a 26-over 305-303-282--890 at the par-72, 6,192-yard Silverado Country Club.
The 5-under 67 by Gomez is the best score of her Oregon State career and helped her post a career-best tie for sixth place finish with a 1-under 75-73-67--215.
