The Oregon State cross country team opened up the 2019 season on a good note by capturing the second annual Viking Rust Buster title hosted by Portland State. The Beavers finished the race six strong with sophomore Haley Wolf securing the individual title followed by redshirt junior Lexi Reed. This marks the second consecutive year the Beavs have won the meet title while also having a Beaver finish in first with Lexi Reed winning last year.
A deep and talented roster was showcased locally as eight out of the fourteen Beavers participating finished in the top-ten.
