SPOKANE, Wash. – The Oregon State Track and Field team closed out competition at the WSU Invitational on Saturday, capping its weekend in Spokane, Wash. with a total of 15 top-10 finishes.
"We had a great showing by our throwers this weekend under some challenging circumstances," said assistant coach Pete Herber. "Our weight throwers had two competitions in the same day, which they had never done before, and all of them had better marks in the second competition. Redshirt freshman Markayla Billings and redshirt sophomore Caitlyn Marx hit PR's, redshirt senior Keely McLaughlin had a season best, and redshirt freshman Jade Whitfield showed consistency over 16.
