CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sophomore set an Oregon State record in the javelin on Saturday to lead a plethora of outstanding performances on Day 2 of the High Performance Meet at the Whyte Track & Field Center.
Bailey threw 151-feet even in the opening round to break 's former school record by 2.75 inches. Bailey's former PR was 149-8.75, the old No. 2 all-time mark.
"I've really been working on my block, and my full approach," said Bailey, whose PR entering the season was 131-10, set at the 2016 Pacific-12 Conference championships, where she placed 10 after missing finals by one foot.
