Andrew Moore made his major league debut for the Seattle Mariners tonight, getting the start against the Detroit Tigers. The Mariners #4 prospect has impressed the team at every level of pro ball so far, and tonight’s debut was no different. The right hander out of Springfield went 7 strong innings, while giving up 3 runs, striking out 4 Tigers, walking none and leading the Mariners to a sweep of the Tigers.
Moore’s night started off well in the first, getting leadoff hitter Ian Kinsler to ground out, before picking up his first career strikeout when he sat down Tiger catcher Alex Avila.
