In his second chance to impress for those at the next level and potentially earn a spot on an NBA roster, Thompson continued his solid play by posting 9 points and 6 rebounds in 21 1⁄2 minutes of court time, in a 92-89 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Although, it wasn’t his best shooting day from the field (3-9 FG), Thompson synced well with fellow highly-touted Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu for a few easy baskets and looked comfortable as both a court-spacer on offense and a versatile switching presence defensive end.
Overall for the Bulls in the victory, forward Patrick Williams led the way with 30 points.
