1. Will Jermar Jefferson become just the third true freshman since 2000 to earn first-team all-Pac 12/10 honors at running back? The only freshmen to land first-team honors since 2000 are OSU’s Jacquizz Rodgers (2008) and Oregon’s Royce Freeman (2014). Jefferson strengthened his case against Washington with 19 carries for 115 yards, his seventh 100-yard game of the season.
With one game remaining, Jefferson is second in Pac-12 rushing yards with 1,316, trailing only Arizona State’s Eno Benjamin (1,444). The contenders for the two first-team slots would appear to be Benjamin, Jefferson, Arizona’s J.J. Taylor (1,290 yards), UCLA’s Joshua Taylor (1,188) and Utah’s Zack Moss (1,092).
