EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon junior Kenyon Yovan is one of 55 players on the preseason Golden Spikes Award watch list, USA Baseball announced on Thursday.
Yovan earned the spot coming off a pair of seasons where he was named a first-team All-Pac-12 Conference selection, as well as an All-American closer following his freshman year. He also spent the last two summers as a member of USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team.
Yovan finished his sophomore season with a 6-4 record and a 2.98 ERA with five saves and 98 strikeouts in 84.2 innings pitched.
