EUGENE, Ore. – After three weeks of training in Sunriver, the Oregon cross country teams return to action for the Washington Invitational Friday afternoon at Jefferson Park in Seattle, Wash.
The men’s race features four of the nation’s top 12 teams - No. 2 Stanford, No. 5 Oregon, No. 11 UCLA and No. 12 Brigham Young, along with Portland and host Washington, who are also receiving votes.
The women have No. 4 Stanford and No. 5 Oregon headlining, but No. 15 Washington and No. 23 BYU should not be overlooked.
For the men, the meet at Jefferson Park could mark the Oregon debuts of talented freshmen Matthew Maton and Tanner Anderson, as well as Georgetown transfer Ryan Gil.
