EUGENE, Ore. – Valley Wong homered twice and Stevie Hansen pitched five shutout innings as Oregon opened the Rivalry Series with a 5-0 win over Oregon State Friday night before 1,646 at Jane Sanders Stadium.
Played in a light shower from the opening pitch, the game was halted after OSU's half of the fifth inning as the rain intensified and did not let up.
"Going into this game, we have just been talking about being connected as a team and since it's senior weekend, I was playing for my seniors today," said Wong.
