After a rough outing in Seattle at the Alki Beach Invitational, beach volleyball returned to the state of Oregon and scored a win against the University of Portland Pilots on Friday April 19. Oregon got off to a rocky start when the first match went to Portland. Jensen Kaelin and Ashley Schroeder won the next match in straight sets to even the score (the 43rd win of Schroeder’s career). Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti gave the Ducks the lead for good with a three set win on Valenti’s birthday against her former team. Oregon took the last two matches for a decisive 4-1 victory.
