SEATTLE - The Oregon women's cross country team finished third at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday while the Men of Oregon placed fourth at Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle.
Neither the UO men or women earned an automatic qualifier to next weekend's NCAA Championships on Saturday, but both are positioned to receive at-large bids to the national meet. In addition to the 18 automatic qualifiers awarded across nine regional meets on Friday, 13 additional at-large bids will be distributed Saturday based on head-to-head results.
How it Happened - Women: The Ducks finished third in the women's 6,000-meter race with 92 points, as San Francisco (59) and Stanford (76) nabbed the automatic qualifiers out of the west.
