EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon sophomore Aaron Wise won the 49th Pacific Coast Amateur on Friday afternoon at Eugene Country Club. Wise (-6) was one of six Ducks to compete at the event.
How It Happened: Wise remained in close contention throughout the tournament, finishing each round within the top four. It was a four-under final round that propelled the Duck sophomore ahead of the field and into first place.
After Thursday’s third round that saw Wise turn in a two-under 68 for the day, the Lake Elsinore, Calif., native entered the final round of the championship two strokes back from co-leaders Will Zalatoris and Bryson DeChambeau.
