Jim Leavitt was hired as Ducks defensive coordinator and linebackers coach on Dec. 16. He will earn $1.15 million annually on a four-year contract after spending the past two seasons as defensive coordinator at Colorado.
Leavitt was a Broyles Award finalist this fall, for the top assistant coach in college football, after improving a Colorado defense that ranked 114th in total defense in 2014 prior to his arrival to 17th this season. The Buffaloes won the Pac-12 South.
