Tabari Hines came to Oregon as an accomplished receiver at Wake Forest and a potential starter as a graduate transfer, but through five games his contributions have been limited.
Hines, who had 53 catches for 683 yards and seven touchdowns last season for the Demon Deacons, has just three catches for 32 yards and a touchdown, all of which came against Portland State, and he hasn't played the last two weeks.
Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said Hines, who had a procedure performed on his left knee and was limited during fall camp, is doing "more extensive rehab work" during the bye week but ultimately, competition for playing time is what will decide game reps.
