The Oregon Ducks have won nine or more games for nine straight years, won four conference championships and been to the national title game twice.
It’s sped by as fast as a Marcus Mariota touchdown run, but in the replays, rehashes and recountings they’ve accumulated a lot of detractors.
Just about everyone who doesn’t love the Ducks seems to hate them or scoff at them. They ridicule their 10,000 uniform combinations. They dismiss that prolific offense as a gimmick. They trump all the accomplishments with references to “the University of Zero” and “zero national championships.”
Truth is, all national championships before 1999 were mythical and disputed.
